, Ayman El-Amir Prepares for a Script to Screen Workshop With Youth From 6 Governorates
After Taking Part in Cannes Festival
The management of MedFest Forum announced the participation deadline in “Script to Screen” program; May 25th. It is a free workshop that aims to enhance writing short film scripts over a three-month period. Eight amateur and professional scriptwriters and filmmakers from Egypt will be chosen. Additionally, two films will receive production grants, estimated at 250,000 EGP. The workshop targets youth from Minya, Sohag, Beni Suef, Dakahlia, Beheira, Port Said, and Cairo. The Forum management will bear the costs of accommodation and transportation.
Moreover, the workshop is to be presented by film director and script consultant Ayman El-Amir who contributed to the development of multiple cinematic projects, including: “Goodbye Julia”, and “Costa Brava”, participating in “Un Certain Regard” at Cannes Festival. He is also the director of “the Brink of Dreams”, participating in the official competition of the Critics’ Week at Cannes Festival.
