Maher Diab named FCATLAB jury member at Tarifa-Tangier African Film Festival
Co-Founder of MAD Solutions and the Arab Cinema Center Maher Diab has been selected as a jury member for the fourth edition of the FCATLAB Program at the Tarifa-Tangier African Film Festival, which is scheduled to run from May 30th to May 31st, 2024.
FCAT LAB is an online post-production workshop designed to support African feature films by offering prizes totaling €24,000 in cash and post-production services. Beyond honoring exceptional directors and producers, this platform endeavors to elevate the visibility and prospects of emerging projects by showcasing them to sales agents, distributors, VOD platforms, and prospective buyers.
FCAT LAB 2024 will be conducted entirely online, forming a pivotal component of the Palaver Tree Forum, which serves as the hub for professional and training initiatives within the Tarifa and Tangier African Film Festival – FCAT.
Previously, Diab served as a jury member at various film festivals and events, including the Feature Documentary Panel at the BBC Arabic Festival and the main competition of the Cape Town International Film Market & Festival.
